Neisseria gonorrhoeae is a gram negative diplococci which causes gonorrhea. It is a sexually transmitted disease.
Mostly people are asymptomatic. Men show symptoms of pus like discharge from penis and pain during urination and woman with vaginal discharge and dysuria (pain during urination). A newborn's eye can get infected from gonorrhea during delivery from an infected birth canal.
