Bringing in Technology

Day 1: For the Being a Teen activity, students will use the Internet to identify video clips, songs, poems, or other media to share with the class and inform a class-wide discussion about what it means to be a teenager and how Holden's character compares with other teenage characters.

Day 2: In Life in the 1950's, students will utilize websites, watch videos, and hear music in addition to exploring traditional texts, as part of their exploration of the novel's era.

Day 2: In the Journal Project, students will keep a public journal or online blog. Blogging provides opportunities for peer engagement and reflection using an online commenting system.
