The Eumenides is the third play in the Oresteia, a trilogy by the Greek tragedian Aeschylus. The Eumenides is preceded by Agamemnon and The Libation Bearers. The only other Greek tragedians whose work has survived are Sophocles (Ajax, Antigone, Women of Trachis, Oedipus Rex, Electra, Philoctetes, and Oedipus at Colonus) and Euripides (Alcestis, Medea, and Hippolytus).
