Accumulated

To collect and gather up things, usual in small portions at a time.

Avidly

An act engaged in with extreme enthusiasm; behavior marked by eagerness, almost to the point of greed.

Bristling

To become stiff and rise in reaction to an exterior stimulus.

Coagulate

To gather together into a mass or substantial grouping.

Disconcerted

Disrupting one's composure; the feeling of being unsettled or confused.

Enthroned

Put in a position of authority.

Estuaries

Places where the sea meets the lower end of a river.

Fraternized

Associating with memebers of a hostile group in a very close or intimate manner.

Gendarme

A soldier serving as part of a police force, traditionally in France, that keeps public order.

Listless

A melancholy state characterized by absence of interest, energy or feeling.

Obstinate

Very stubborn; insisting on standing by one's own beliefs despite all other arguments.

Peevishly

Used to describe a stubborn or argumentative behavior or mood.

Sprawled

Spread out without any design or restraint; lacking a pattern.

Squabble

To argue loudly over something that is very often insignificant.

Vulnerable

Open, or capable of being hurt physically or emotionally. Not prepared to defend against an attack.

Woeful

In bad or serious condition. To describe a person, place or thing that is full of grief or sadness.
