Lucy
She works for Lockwood and Co. and is determined to solve the mysteries surrounding the hauntings in Chelsea. She is a powerful Listener, capable of hearing the voices of the dead as well as echoes of past events. She is devoted and protective of her friends, and she isn't afraid to challenge authority figures when necessary. She is also courageous, as evidenced by her willingness to confront dangerous supernatural beings.
Lucy is extremely intelligent and resourceful, frequently devising innovative solutions to problems they face. Lucy is also kind and generous, and she is always concerned about her companions. She also has a good sense of humor, which helps to lift the spirits of her friends in stressful situations. Lucy adores her family so much as evidenced when she went to England to visit them.
Lockwood
Lockwood is the leader of Lockwood and Co., and he demonstrates a variety of character traits throughout the story. He is a brave and determined individual who is willing to take risks and face danger to protect others and solve the cases he and his team are assigned to.
Lockwood is a persuasive negotiator and is able to talk the owners of the boarding school into allowing them to investigate the disappearances. Lockwood is also intelligent, resourceful, and has a strong sense of justice, which he demonstrates by getting the couple who locked them in the room arrested. He is loyal to his team and puts their safety and well-being above his own. He also demonstrates compassion, understanding, and empathy, as he is willing to help Mrs. Wintergarden and work with the mysterious Hollow Boy.
The Couple
They are the owners of the boarding facility that was being haunted. The couple in the boarding facility shows a combination of traits. They are hostile to Lockwood and Co., slamming the iron door on them and locking them in a room with ghosts, showing their disregard for the safety of others. They also demonstrate their selfishness and lack of compassion by refusing to cooperate with the DEPRAC investigation, instead choosing to go to extreme measures to keep Lockwood and Co. from discovering the truth. Additionally, they are willing to resort to illegal and unethical methods to maintain control of their boarding facility. Ultimately, the couple is arrested by Scotland Yard.
George
George is a kind, loyal, and dependable Lockwood and Co. employee. Throughout the story, George is the one who steps up to manage the team, particularly when Lucy is absent. He is the voice of reason, keeping the team grounded and focused on the task at hand. He is also brave because he is often the first to enter a dangerous situation. Furthermore, George is selfless in that he risks his own life to protect his friends. For example, when the couple locks the team in a room, George is the first to suggest they find a way out, even though they are in a dangerous situation. Furthermore, George is a great problem-solver. He has the ability to think outside of the box and come up with creative solutions to difficult problems, such as when the team is facing off against the changer.
The Whispering Skull
The Whispering Skull is a mysterious and powerful being that guides Lucy and her team. This character is wise and resourceful, offering sage advice and an invaluable source of knowledge and insight to solve the Chelsea outbreak. He is also cunning and manipulative, often using his knowledge to manipulate people and situations to his advantage. He is enigmatic and mysterious, often speaking in riddles and proverbs and leaving the team to figure out their true meaning. He's also humorous and devious, suggesting evil yet dreadfully funny ways for Lucy to eliminate Holly. helping to solve the Chelsea outbreak, and is a great asset to Lucy and the rest of Lockwood and Co.
Scotland Yard
Scotland Yard is the fictional police force. Scotland Yard is portrayed as a well-organized and efficient organization. They are quick to respond to any supernatural outbreaks and are dedicated to protecting the citizens of London from the dangers of ghosts and other supernatural threats. Scotland Yard is focused, determined, and resourceful. They are willing to go to any length to protect the public and will not hesitate to arrest those responsible for supernatural disturbances. Scotland Yard is also portrayed as compassionate and understanding; they are willing to listen to Lockwood & Co. and their theories, and they eventually entrust them with the task of eliminating the poltergeist in Mrs. Wintergarden's home.
Mrs. Wintergarden
Mrs. Wintergarden is a wealthy woman who is described as being callous and selfish. She is not a nice woman, and she is not interested in the well-being of others. Her house is haunted. She is quite conniving, as she is willing to go to any lengths to get what she wants, including enlisting the help of supernatural beings. She is also quite bold and daring, as she is willing to confront the dangerous supernatural beings directly. Mrs. Wintergarden is very demanding and expects the best of service from Lockwood and Co. yet she is unyielding and stubborn and not willing to compromise. She is also very controlling and manipulative, trying to use her money and influence to get her way.
The Hollow Boy
The Hollow Boy is a mysterious and enigmatic figure who can assist Lockwood and Co. in their mission to exorcise a poltergeist. He is described as tall, with dark hair and a long coat. He is aloof and distant, but he is also helpful and resourceful when it comes to the supernatural. He is wise beyond his years and is able to provide advice and assistance to the team. The hollow boy is brave as he is willing to face danger in order to help the team.
Holly Munro
Holly Munro is a mysterious character who appears in the story as Lockwood and Co.'s newest assistant. She is described as beautiful, with dark hair and a slim figure, and her presence immediately creates tension between her and Lucy. Holly is a strong and independent character who is not afraid to speak up for herself. She is also intelligent and resourceful, capable of devising innovative solutions to difficult problems. She is also loyal and has a strong sense of justice, as she is willing to risk her life to assist Lockwood and company in their fight against the supernatural.
