Bringing A Play To Life

Objective:
To compare the ways in which different productions and actors interpret O'Neill's work

Structure:
For 10-15 minutes, students will gather into groups and find videos of Iceman on Youtube or elsewhere. There are a wide variety available, from professional productions to amateur shows to individual interpretations. Some of the scenes will be from later in the play - that's OK, as the tone of the play is remarkably consistent throughout.
Then, the class will reunite, and each group will show a video they found. They should be asked to discuss...
