interlocutor

A person taking part in a conversation; usually conveying the sense of the conversation as interrogation.

gratis

Free; getting or doing something for nothing.

sagacious

Knowledgeable…on account of having gained wisdom.

cognizance

Having knowledge of something or being aware of it.

ingratiate

Insinuating yourself with someone else; usually done to someone with influence or who can offer beneficial assistance.

capricious

Unpredictable; acting on impulse.

incontrovertible

Beyond argument or question; absolutely undeniable evidence.

pernicious

Malevolent; wickedly evil.

invective

Spewing out a highly critical attack; a diatribe of denunciation.

penurious

Miserly; aggressively withstanding the urge to spend.

dissolute

Self-indulgent depravity.

incredulous

Beyond belief; skeptical and doubtful.

calumnies

False accusations against someone.

presentiment

A supernatural premonition.

abbott

The overseer of a group of monks.

relapse

A return to a previous and undesirable state.

wretch

A person in miserable condition who has fallen from a more desirable condition and may be either an object of pity or revulsion or even both.

contrary

oppositional

haughty

Arrogant and condescending; of a superior attitude that looks down scornfully on others.

conciliatory

Pacifying; appeasing; overture that attempts to make peace.
