Objective:

Students will be able to interpret the story from a different point of view to gain better understanding of characters and events.

Common Core Standards:

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.9-10.3, CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.9-10.3, CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.9-10.3.B

Structure:

Have students pick a character from the book and rewrite one of Chapters 19-22 through their eyes (it may also be an earlier chapter if they want to write from Moreau's point of view).

Students should try to weave different elements of writing into this, including dialogue, description, and reflection to create a whole picture.
