When Calypso is told she has to let Odysseus go, she does. Do you think she's just doing this because Zeus told her to, or because she wants to make Odysseus happy even if it means he must leave?

Odysseus tells Calypso how unhappy he is and she helps him prepare his raft and make sure he has provisions. But on the other hand, she's been ordered by much more powerful gods to do so. Odysseus clearly doesn't trust her--he asks for a solemn vow that she is not plotting against him--but since he doesn't trust anybody, that's not much of an indicator. She makes a play for his affections and he admits that she's much more beautiful than his wife, but...
