The story begins with Chase Ambrose, a 13-year-old boy, in hospital, where it is revealed he is suffering from acute retrograde amnesia. When he gets home, his father is not very caring and only cares when he will be recovered to play football once again.
The perspective changes to that of Shoshanna Weber, the twin sister of Joel Weber, a boy who has been bullied by Chase. She is angry at how he treaded her bother and hates chase despite his amnesia.
Brendan Espinoza is another main character who is chairman of the video club and requires Chase’s help with a YouTube video. Shoshanna is also a member of the club and is angry about him joining. Chase proves he has changed when he stops one of his former friends from bullying Brendan.
Kimberly, another narrator, joins the video club to be closer to Chase. At the same time, Shoshanna and Chase grow closer and encourage Joel to return to Hiawassee. However, Chase’s ex friends, Aaron and Bear, try to sabotage their video presentation by spraying the group fire extinguisher foam. In the end, everyone realizes that Chase has changed for the better.
