The Rez Sisters follows seven women from the fictional Wasaychigan Hill Indian Reserve in Ontario, Canada as they plan for the biggest bingo in the world, which is coming to Toronto. Act One begins with 53-year-old Pelajia Patchnose, who is nailing shingles on her roof and dreaming about escaping her life on the reserve. Her sister, Philomena, who is 49, joins her, although she isn't very helpful in her impractical skirt and high heels.
