Structure:

For this activity, students will write two imagined scenes from the Aliens Show: the first will be a scene from when Gibreel was still on the show, and the second will be when he is replaced by a white actor. A classwide discussion can help spur creativity before breaking students into groups. Have students talk about what fundamental differences would be between a show starring an Indian man, and that same show starring a white man. What sort of jokes would they tell?...
