I’m f*cking dead.” The narrator advances a picture of what transpires in “ ghost malls.” The narrator died in the mall’s escalator after a fall that ruined his neck.
Black Anchor Ohsweygian - “Old Habits”
Black Anchor Ohsweygian is a female ghost that is extant at the ‘ghost mall.’ The narrator witnesses as she brawls with “an invisible security guard.” The guard is blamable for Black Anchor’s demise.
Quiegley - “Old Habits”
Quiegley is the ghost of a man who passed on at twenty four. He succumbed to Asthma “in the mall’s west elevator” after procuring an engagement ring.
Jimmy Lee - “Old Habits”
Jimmy is a ghost whose departure is attributed to choking “on a piece of steak in the Surf ‘N’ Turf restaurant up on the third floor.”
Baby Boo - “Old Habits”
He is a ghost of a young child who joins the other ghosts “at the food court.” He is “swaddled in his yellow blanket and onesie.”
Kitty - “Old Habits”
Kitty is a female ghost who suggests that she has a capacity of smelling.
Beatrice Powell - “The Glass Bottle Trick”
Beatrice Powell espouses Samuel unconscious of what caused his first two wives’ demises. Later, she ascertains that Samuel is a callous, superstitious murderer.
Samuel - “The Glass Bottle Trick”
Samuel is an old widower who weds Beatrice. He extends his abhorrence for himself to his two wives and unborn kids.
Gloria - “The Glass Bottle Trick”
Gloria is Beatrice’s maid. She is older than Beatrice; thus, Beatrice shies from instructing her due to the age variance.
