Offensive and insulting term for a black African, used mostly in the apartheid era.

A continuing sound as in a voice that is unchanging in pitch or without intonation.

A member of the peer leadership teams at schools in South Africa.

Atonement for something wrong or sinful.

To move in a loping fashion.

Proteas

Any of a genus (Protea of the family Proteaceae, the protea family) of African evergreen shrubs often grown as ornamentals for their showy bracts and dense flower heads (m-w.com).
