From Black Souls to Black Lives

Objective:
Students will make connections between the text and the present day.

Structure:
To begin this activity, open up a Google Doc or similar writing software on a projector. Explain to students that now that they have read all of The Souls of Black Folk, they will think through some take-aways. Even though DuBois was writing in the early 1900s, his words and ideas still resonate in this country.
