"Realistic Art" (situational irony)
At the end of The Uncanny, Freud observes the irony that artworks only produce uncanny effects when they are able to convince us that they take place in real world, even though the very idea that images or signs could be real is the kind of primitive belief that is, itself, often the source of the uncanny.
