Scabbard

A protective covering, like for a blade or a plant.

Spined

Having sharp points or edges, often designed to injure.

Ulex

A spiny, yellow-flowered shrub commonly found in Europe.

Claspers

Slender, curling parts of a plant that support or climb.

Cenotaphic

A stone coffin.

Obfuscated

Covered or concealed, usually in a way that hides or obscures.

Torporific

A term describing the state of being dull or lifeless.

Balsamic

Containing or resembling resin.

Emollient

A soft, greasy substance applied to the skin for medicinal purposes.

Decussate

Shaped like a cross or having cross-shaped structures.

Napery

A cloth or paper napkin used to wipe the mouth or hands during a meal.

Vaulted

To perform a forward roll or flip, typically in gymnastics or acrobatics.
