Interview A Utopian

Objective:

Students will improvise an interview with a Utopian.

Common Core Standards:

CCSS.ELA-Literacy.SL.11-12.1

Structure:

For this activity, students will work in pairs. One student will act as a modern-day interviewer, while the other will act as a Utopian citizen. Each pair will have the opportunity to present their interview in front of the class, and students will switch roles halfway through their presentation. For instance, Student A is the CNN interviewer, and Student B is the Utopian. Student A will interview Student B first, and then Student B will interview Student A in swapped roles.
