Hirsute

Hairy or shaggy.

Parallelepipeds

A 3-D object with parallelograms for each of its six faces. A parallelogram is defined as a four-sided, 2-D object where each side is the length of the side opposite it, such a rectangle or square.

Taylor

Refers to Frederick Winslow Taylor, the author of The Principles of Scientific Management, who helped create the first assembly line by having workers engage in repetitive, mechanical motions.

Chronometrically

Relating to the precise measurement of time.

Transcendental

Relating to a higher, spiritual realm.

Edifying

Providing moral or ethical benefit or instruction.

Euclidian

Refers to an ancient system of mathematics still used today to describe geometry and algebra. More complex theories, like those relating to irrational or imaginary numbers, are not included in Euclidian mathematics.

Cretin

An insensitive, stupid person.

Cupolas

A small peak or dome at the top of a building.

Impudent

Cocky or disrespectful.

Sinusoid

A smooth, oscillating curve.

Trochee

A poetic term referring to a rhythm involving a stressed or long syllable, followed by a unstressed or short one.

Jalousie

A window of adjustable glass slats or blinds.

Plaster

In British English, a bandage or Band-Aid.

Innumerate

Without knowledge of mathematics.

Unanimity

Complete agreement or consensus.

Jehova

God, as depicted in the Old Testament.

Dynamo

A direct-current electrical generator.

Entropy

The tendency of systems to decline, or for order to give rise to disorder.

Shrike

A small grey and black bird.
