Objective:

Students will gain a better understanding of jíbaro culture through their own engagement with jíbaro music.

Structure:

This is an activity students will do individually. Instruct students to search the internet for traditional jíbaro songs. Once each student finds a few, they will choose one they like that has lyrics. They will then find the lyrics to the song (which will be in Spanish) and translate them into English. They can use a translator like Google Translate.
