The narrator (Yellow Woman)
The narrator is a woman who has been kidnapped by a stranger when she was near the river. The stranger called her Yellow Woman as in one legend. She herself does not agree with such a name, she has a family, has been at school and thus cannot be a woman from some very old story about spirits.
Silva
Silva is a man who has kidnapped the woman. He is strong, virile, and very attractive. We see that the woman likes him a lot and likes to be close with him. He is a mysterious character, but along with his confirmations that he is a spirit we see that he is more of a man. He steals cattle and sells the meat, he makes love with women, he has a place to lice.
Al
Al is the woman’s husband. She is sure that he must have already gone to police office to inform about her disappearance.
