What do you think makes the 3rd Juror so angry about the case?
Some students may bring up the first part of the act, in which the 3rd Juror reveals his physical altercation and conflict with his own son; others may attribute it to his racism, a violent temperment, or a lack of education. Ask students about the educational levels of the other characters if this comes up; remind them that a lack of formal education does not necessarily breed anger or ignorance.

Why does the 3rd Juror think it was the 5th Juror who changed his vote?
Probably he's basing his assumption on the 5th Juror's earlier outburst in response to the 10th Juror's racist statement...
