    Lucy says she lacks poetry or a poetic sensibility. Do you agree?

    The reader is taking a journey through Lucy's muddled thoughts along with the heroine. It is the task of the reader to parse her speech and actions and determine what is really in her heart.

    The strongest point to be made towards Lucy as a poet of sorts is the way she approaches playing the piano. She loses herself in the music, and becomes a different person altogether. Perhaps she is a poet at heart, but has been taught to curb her poetic sensibilities as part of her training in English femininity.
