Infidelity
Infidelity is something that always hurts people. No matter how hard all the books and life teaches to be frank with each other this topic is prominently raised up. Agafya was a married woman but couldn't help but cheat on her husband. She was going to Savka on her own will. She found in other man something satisfactory that her husband was missing. Even against moral rules she came alone to his house and as we understand not for the first time, as her husband already knew where he could find her. One time Agafya gave up the slack and stayed longer than it was allowed. How hard was her way to her beloved, and opposite how hard was the way back to her husband awaiting his own wife from another man. It is hard for a man to understand that he is not quite a man of a woman’s choice. Infidelity in “Agafya” is not something that is disapproved of; neither it is encouraged, since it is stated as a fact that takes place, and it is up to the reader to judge or sympathize with the characters.
Love triangle
A love triangle can bring agony beyond words, since a situation when love can't meet and come to one place really hurts. As a rule love inspires people in whose hearts lives tenderness, but if passion breaks the soul apart, it just brings misfortune and misery. In a case where love triangle shows up everyone should start with oneself. Love triangle happened as a result of mannishness lack in the partner. Agafya was looking for a strong character to feel safe and calm when night comes. At the same time Savka didn't really care about his choice, he always had been popular among women. It was like a regular toy in his collection. What not to say about Agafya’s husband. We don`t know too much about him, but we know for sure that he loved his wife with all his heart and didn't want to let that happen. Love triangle will not in any way occur in pure loving house. So when creating a family one should keep the family hearth and not to let it fade away.
Nature
The event described in the story occurs on the bank of the river, and nature becomes a background for it. Description of a sunset and night approaching, and sounds of birds, splashes of water: all this adds to the story a feeling of nature presence, and in some way Agafya’s behavior of infidelity comes to the same level of nature, but to nature of female origin, and means that Agafya simply is accomplishing her call of a wild creature that lives inside her. This inner person of her is guided by simple nature instincts.
