Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of American-Born Chinese, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.

In this lesson plan, students will be given several opportunities to use modern technology to engage with American-Born Chinese. They will be given the opportunity to work with a variety of different software, such as Google Slides, Prezi, and video-editing software, and will be given the chance to experiment with a range of different expressive media, from visually interactive presentations to video essays.
