Patriotism, heroism, and self-sacrifice

Chris Kyle is a true patriot, and what is more he is ready to sacrifice his life for his country. It is just one of his most prominent features that defines him as a person. To fulfill his potential, Chris joins the army where he is taught how to fight the enemies of the United States of America. The man becomes a perfect soldier in the long run. He welcomes the war, for this is his chance to prove that his fellow citizens don’t waster their money on the taxes they pay to train the SEALs. He is one of those soldiers who join the army not because they think it is prestigious, but because they can’t think of a better way to serve their country.

Love and difficulties

One might think that true love has nothing to do with difficulties and misunderstandings. Taya would definitely disagree on this assumption. When she meets Chris for the first time, she understands instantly that he is a soldier. The woman doesn’t even want to start a relationship with him, for she knows how difficult it is to be a wife of a husband who doesn’t belong himself. Chris goes to a war, leaving Taya on her own. Their love story is not a perfect one, but it is still beautiful, for they manage to overcome numerous difficulties and not to fall out of love.

The loss

The loss of loved ones is one of the most terrible things that can happen to someone. It brings so much suffering that even a life itself loses its value. Chris is prepared for the war but he is definitely not ready to see his friends, people he spends so much time with and loves them like brothers, die. It is a devastating experience that leaves a terrible impact on him. He gets used to it to such an extent that he starts believing that he can be easily replaced too. There in a scene during which Chris tells Taya that if he dies, she can find another husband in no time. These words hurt her.
