Discuss Chapter 15 as a class. What is Ifemelu feeling? Where are her feelings coming from? Is she acting rationally? Is she taking care of herself?
Bring attention to Ifemelu's feelings about potentially suffering from depression. Why does Ifemelu reject the possibility that she is depressed? What does it mean when she wonders "Did things begin to exist only when they were named?"
