    What motifs and themes are present in these two chapters?

    The song as a motif is very present. After the animals witness Napoleon’s killing of the animals for their “confessions,” they comfort themselves by singing the song, which has motivated and inspired them. This also touches on the motif of dreams and plans, because they are disillusioned and do not know how to express it.
