Students will create dioramas to represent Green Gables

Structure:

Research (20-25 minutes)

Green Gables is a real home, based on L.M. Montgomery's aunt and uncle's house. Place the students into pairs and have them briefly research the Anne of Green Gables home on Prince Edward Island. They should take notes about what the house looks like, the design, and the surrounding land. They ought to also explore where Green Gables is mentioned in the novel, and take notes on any additional information provided of the home and surrounding lands.
