Dressing Up Never Gets Old

The date was near...even before I even glanced at my calendar full of sporadic events and reminders, I knew it. It’s finally Homecoming Week: the ultimate week for high-schoolers to go wild (within the confines of the dress code, of course). Though I thoroughly enjoyed the diversity of Disney day and the millennial humor of Vine day, what really piqued my interest was Wednesday: Senior Citizen day. Armed with silver hair gel, my mom’s 1960’s-esque clothing, bountiful brushes and powders, a pair of glasses, and a grumpy attitude, I was ready to own the school, full-on grandma style.
At least, that was my intention...somehow, completely by accident (I promise!), I had gone way overboard with the makeup. I managed to make myself look nearly as old as a mummy, not expecting to see the deep wrinkles and permanently frowning face in the mirror that now greeted me. Still, I had endless fun with my new look. Strutting down the hallways at a pace snails would envy, I felt like a celebrity with the amount of attention I received (though many tell me jaws dropped from shock, not adoration).
