Structure:
Ask the students to consider the soundtracks to their favorite movies. Which movie do they think has the best soundtrack? Why? How do soundtracks add or take away from a film?
As a class, come up with a list of all the important events that happened in the novel. Leave these on the smartboard for the students to refer to. Next, divide the students into pairs and explain that they will be creating a soundtrack for Black Beauty.
