Blacktop Wasteland is a novel written by S.A. Cosby involving a crime. The main character of the book is Beauregard Montage who struggles to provide for his family. Beauregard is a former criminal and has assured his friends and family that he won’t get back into criminal activities. Suddenly, his businesses come crushing and he has to find a way to tend to his family. After considering various options, Beauregard decides to try his luck in crime once again. Therefore, when he gets information that his old acquaintance, Ronnie, needs a chauffeur, Beauregard decides to take the job.
Beauregard is known for his driving skills, particularly when involving robberies. Ronnie and his accomplice are planning to rob a jewelry shop. As a result, they need an experienced and skilled driver who will give police officers a run for their money when it comes to the chase. Ronnie is delighted to have Beauregard as their driver. Beauregard drives the robbers to the jewelry store and waits for them outside to complete their business. One of the robbers kills an unidentified person which prompts the group to exit the scene as fast as possible.
The jewelry shop owner is also a renowned criminal and hunts down Beauregard and his peers. Finally, he catches up with them and compels them to help him exterminate another troubling criminal. Beauregard understands all the underhand dealings of criminals. Therefore, he knows they will be eliminated at long last. Such thoughts make him eliminate his associates before they eliminate him.
