Beauregard, formerly known as Bug, is an African-American living in a small town in Virginia. He used to be the best getaway driver in the Eastern hemisphere but is now a father and a husband who also runs an auto mechanic shop. In his past life he was engaged in criminal activities, but he has now turned his life around and has been living quietly for fifteen years.
Despite his clean life, Bug’s business is failing and falling deeper into debt. His family is struggling to pay bills. An opportunity to make quick money arises, and he cannot stop himself from seizing it. This forces Bug to fall back into the life of crime. He plans to do one last heist that will set his family for life. As soon as he steps into the world of crime once again, he realizes just how much he missed it.
During the heist, however, chaos ensues and everything falls into uncertainty.
Bug realizes that he cannot run from his past. He teams up with Ronnie and Reggie, his old partners, to execute the diamond heist. The last time they worked together, things did not end on good terms. This time round, Bug is on high alert for any sign of mistrust in the crew.
For the most part, the heist goes smoothly until they realize who they had just robbed. The police are the least of their worries. The jewelry store belongs to the most notorious criminal in the region, and now they have to run for their lives.
