Bunny Symbols, Allegory and Motifs

The symbolism of true friendship

Ava is a symbol of true friendship. When Ava discovers that the Bunnies have managed to brainwash Samantha to be part of the cultic circle, she schemes a plan to help her. One day, Ava manages to rescue Samantha from the Bunnies. Ava reminds Samantha of the good life she lived before joining the Bunnies.

The Swan

The swan symbolizes Ava. Samantha first met Ava beside the bond at Warren Campus. Ava is an imaginary friend Samantha created out of her loneliness. During the novel's climax, Samantha returns to Ava's house and realizes Max has killed the swan. Therefore, Samantha discovers that Ava is an imaginary friend she created out of solitude.

The staring context

The staring context symbolizes Ava’s psychological and expressive fortitude, especially in her relationship with the Bunnies, who seem apparent and feeble in disparity. After the staring context, Ava demonstrates to the Bunnies that she is ready to fight to free Samantha. The Bunnies discover that Ava is fearless because she is ready to fight for Samantha’s safety.
