    Kind of Activity:

    Creative Writing

    Objective:

    Practice developing point of view and narrative voice in the style of Robert Cormier.

    Common Core Standards:

    CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.6.3, CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.6.6

    Structure:

    Individually, students should select a character that is NOT a narrator from one of the stories assigned so far. Students should write a creative piece from the perspective of their character, representing the events of the story in that character's voice. Students should do their best to represent their character's voice and personality as depicted in the story. How might their character of choice see the events of the story...
