Abhor
Abhor is the main character. She is half robot and half human. She is constantly looking for love, to feel loved, this is intertwined with her sexual frustration because of what happened to her young self. Just like Thivai, she has an existential crisis, she wants to discover what she wants to be but, unlike Thivai, she is not suicidal; Abhor has the desire for life.
Thivai
Thivai is the male character and Abhors partner. He is a wannabe sailor and a suicidal nihilist. He is dependent on Abhors presence and love to the point where he walks on the edge of hatred for her.
Agnus
Agnus is a sailor Abhor meets while she is searching for Thivai. He is another one who is facing and existential crisis, as are most of the individuals in the senseless world. Together with Abhor he goes to a tattoo shop but gets scared of the process of tattooing. After fighting with the tattoo artist, the two men create an emotional and sexual bond which leads to Agnus finally agreeing to the tattoo.
Mark
Mark is a homosexual motorcycle rider who rapes Thivai after Thivai gets out of prison. The two meet again after Abhor gets imprisoned and create a ridiculous and senseless bond over planning Abhor's escape.
