    Why is Ender afraid of being like his brother?

    Students should be able to identify Peter's villainous and abusive traits: his love of violence and intimidation, his tendencies towards manipulation and craving for power. Peter terrorizes his younger siblings, and they live in an atmosphere of constant fear and dread. Since Ender knows well what it's like to be a victim of abuse, he hates the idea of himself victimizing anyone in that way.
