Objective:

Students will research resources available to new immigrants to their community and create a brochure to aid and welcome said immigrants.

Structure:

Lead a class discussion on resources new immigrants that may need to know about when they arrive into a community, white-boarding the students' responses. Ideas may include:

• Where to find legal aid

• How to register their children for school

• Options for affordable healthcare

• Where to find low-income childcare

• How to find affordable housing
