Objective:

Students will evaluate the similarities and differences between the book and movie adaptations of "Flags of Our Fathers" and critically evaluate their portrayal of events and characters.

Structure:

Now that we've completed our study of Flags of Our Fathers, students will watch and compare Bradley's book with the Clint Eastwood-directed movie. The instructor may arrange a screening in class, or ensure that students have access to the film to watch it on their own time.
