    In "A Good Man is Hard to Find?" how does the author use the landscape to reflect or foreshadow what will happen near the end of the story?

    O’Connor uses the natural world to underscore the allegorical aspects of her stories. At the beginning of the trip, the grandmother remarks that it is a good day for driving, neither too hot or too cold. Here, O’Connor is making the point that one’s death can come at any time. She also says, "the trees were full of silver-white sunlight and the meanest of them sparkled."
