What changes does Amy make in her plan? Do you think these changes will work out for her?

Amy didn't make many changes before she disappeared (except for deciding not to shoot herself), but afterwards, she deviates from her initial plan quite a bit. She spends more money than she had budgeted for, and she decides not to kill herself. The former seems almost out-of-character for Amy, because up until this point, she's seemed infallible and braced for every contingency. And by deciding to live, Amy chooses a much more indeterminate future: she must figure out a new and much larger plan for her long-term survival.
