Structure:

To begin the activity, play Kate Adams’ TED Talk (https://www.ted.com/talks/kate_adams_4_larger_than_life_lessons_from_soap_operas) about lessons from soap operas. Then, lead students through a short discussion using some or all of the following questions:

· What is the main idea of this TED Talk?

· What are the 4 lessons?

· What is a positive lesson you’ve learned?

· How do you know when a lesson is good?
