How self-aware does Pip seem at this point in the novel, compared to how he is earlier in the novel? How much of this self-awareness may be retroactively projected onto Pip by the older, wiser Pip narrating the story?

Answers may vary. Students may notice that Pip is starting to have some metacognition about his shifts in perspective as he grows older.
