The Guppees talk, argue, and chit-chat an absurd amount, but the result is that they understand their shared purpose and have forged powerful relationships with one another that allow for trust and support. The Chupwalas, however, lived in silence and secrecy, lacking this trust, understanding, or common purpose. Many of them did not even live in harmony with their own discontent shadows, which meant they also had to fight their shadows.
