Symbols of Growing Up

Collaborative Writing

Objective:

To make connections between the shoes and other symbols of adulthood in our society

Common Core Standards:

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.CCRA.R.10 ; CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.CCRA.W.6

Structure:

Split students up into small groups. They will need paper and pencils or pens, or tablets and digital drawing or painting software. Instruct students to divide their paper into four squares by drawing lines down and across the middle (creating a cross).
