Indiana Jones
Indiana Jones is the protagonist in the story. Indiana is an archaeologist and college professor. He lives two lives: one as a globe-trotting fortune hunter seeking out rare and incredibly important historical artifacts, and as a college professor. He is a very outgoing man and is not afraid to take chances both big and small. For example, he must dodge and escape things such as snakes, villains, and lethal booby traps - all while invariably courting a beautiful woman.
Mola Ram
Mola Ram is the antagonist of the movie. He is the high priest of the Thuggee cult. He is a very crude man who enslaves children against their will. It’s also very likely that he is a psychopath and lacks even basic human kindness and empathy. He brainwashes politicians and royalty; in fact, he wants to rule and enslave the world. He gives them a magic potion with the blood of Kālī Ma which makes them devout followers.
Short Round
Short Round is Indiana Jones' wise-cracking sidekick. He often pokes fun at Indiana, who he calls "Dr. Jones," but at the end of the day really cares for Indiana, whom he considers to be his friend.
Short Round is also incredibly hard-working and intelligent, as evidenced by his ingenuity in helping Indiana defeat Mola Ram.
