Invisibility, Day 1

Objective:
Students will be able to consider the relationship between the narrator's definition of "invisibility" and their own lives

Structure:
Ask students to consider how the narrator defines "invisibility." He's not magical; he's invisible because others refuse to see him. What does he mean by that?
In the case of this book, the narrator is invisible at least in part because of his racial identity and living in a social context where Black people are embattled, marginalized, and in relationship to this, can be invisible....
