Throughout the study of Langston Hughes's work, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.

The Day One activity, students will watch this high-quality “Harlem” illustrated video which provides a visual learning experience. The short video summary is over three minutes and covers the major characters and plot points of the poem.

The Day One activity, "The Harlem Renaissance: Part 1," will require individual computers for students to conduct research and type a research proposal.
