    Pudge avoids Lara, refuses to talk to her, and tells Takumi that Lara is no longer his girlfriend -- without even ever breaking up with her, or confessing that he cheated on her with Alaska. Discuss how unfair and cruel this is: though students may sympathize with Pudge, especially as he grieves, they should also recognize that he shows Lara disrespect and a tremendous lack of empathy.
