Love! Valour! Compassion! is a play written by Terrence McNally, that was performed in Broadway in 1995 after transferring from a traditional theatre in 1994. The play premiered on 11 October 1994 at the Manhattan Theatre Club, where it ran for a total of 72 performances. It then moved to the Walter Kerr Theatre from 14 February 1995 where it continued to run until 17 September 1995, after a total of 248 performances as well as 24 previews of the play.

During its lifespan, the play received numerous awards and nominations. Most notably, was the 1995 Tony Award for the Best Play as well as the Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play, which was awarded to John Glover, who played both John and James Jeckyll. It also won Best American Play in 1995 from the New York Drama Critics' Circle and the Drama Desk award in 1995 for Outstanding Play.

Terrence McNally was an American screenwriter, a playwright as well as an opera writer. He is considered to be one of the best contemporary playwrights of not only our modern times but also the theatre world as a whole. He was born in St. Petersburg in Florida on 3 November 1938 and sadly passed away on 24 March 2020. During his varied career, he received the prestigious induction to the American Academy of Arts and Letters, which he received in 2018 and is the greatest recognition of American artistic talent.
